SUMMARY

The Machine operator I will work under the direct supervision of the Production Supervisor. The Machine Operator will monitor assigned machines to ensure molded parts meet quality standards. This includes removing parts from injection molding machines and visually inspecting part for defects.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Removes parts from injection molding machine by hand or from injection molding machine parts chute.
* Visually inspects parts for pre-prescribed defects using naked eye. May correct certain defects (such as flash) using trim tools.
* Assemble subcomponents.
* Assemble shipping cartons.
* Package finished parts in storage containers or shipping cartons as directed.
* Product count when applicable, scrap sheets and properly identifying contents.
* May relieve other operators for lunch and breaks
* Perform other duties as may be periodically assigned by the Shift Supervisor or Lead.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet, and time spent on the shop floor will be subject to standard noise levels in a manufacturing environment.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toed shoes
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses
