Description:

  • Setup and operate fabrication machines and chamfering and deburring equipment to form product at acceptable quality levels and production rates.
  • Use measuring tools provided by Quality Assurance to measure dimensions and compare with engineering print specifications or work order instructions.
  • Work with other shift operators to maintain product flow and quality standards.
  • Perform ancillary duties as required, such as housekeeping and various secondary operations.
  • Learn to setup and operate peripheral support machines to prepare material for forming

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience of manufacturing forming processes is a plus, especially those associated with sheet metal fabrication.
  • Must be able to receive and follow written and verbal instructions in English and communicate job related information to others.
  • Must work well with people and be task oriented.
  • Applicants should possess a strong mechanical aptitude for conventional machinery, especially those synchronized with gears and cams.
  • Must be able to learn to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Must have evening availability as the position is for 2nd Shift which starts at 3:30 pm to12:00 am.
  • Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to interpret and conceptualize mechanical prints, drawings, plans, or job write-ups (including weld requirement symbols).
  • Measure various materials using a variety of measuring tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Full-time 40 hr. commitment with occasional overtime expected.

Education:
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and depth perception.
  • Routinely reach with hands and arms to handle or feel.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk.
  • Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
