Who We Are:

We are the Fuels and Lubricants Division! We perform testing on different types of vehicles, from compact cars to tractor-trailers, off-road equipment, and internal combustion engines from lawn mowers to locomotives. By joining our team, you will receive an additional $500.00 in your first paycheck.

Objectives of this Role:

• Through on-the-job training, you will have the opportunity to work with various types of engines and or metals in a hands-on environment.
• Learn about the fuel and lubricant testing we provide. Predominately in our friction and wear testing section.
• Support fuel and lubricant testing for various clients on different test types in a safe manner.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Operates and maintains lathe and milling machines. Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to ensure accurate production.
• Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.
• Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
• Maintains inventory of completed products.
• Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.
• Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
• Adheres to our Environmental, Safety and Quality policies and instructions.

Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; Machine courses preferred but not required.
• Shift work required.
• 0-5 years: Vocational or commercial machining experience.
• 0-1 years: Computer skills preferred; Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications i.e. Excel and MS Word.
• A valid/clear driver's license is required.
