Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to support the development and optimization of asset equipment Maintenance, coordinate and support maintenance assessments and maintenance analysis and improvements exercises. The position is located in the Port Neches area. We are seeking personnel who have experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES, REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Development and improvement of maintenance tasks, inclusive of tasks lists, maintenance plans, items, and work instructions
  • Build and optimize Technical Object and Functional Location Structures, and associated tag attributes
  • Functional knowledge to work within and configure SAP/ Maximo/ Oracle Technical Objects
  • Participate and support the execution of technical client interface workshops and meetings
  • Accountable for quality and timely delivery of discipline project deliverables.
  • Participate and support equipment reliability related studies including RCM studies, FMEAs, FMECAs, Criticality Analysis, and RCAs
  • Support the assembly and integration of equipment maintenance packages (Maintenance Plans)
  • Possesses experience in the supervision and the execution of maintenance on-site
  • Develop project progress reports, conduct, and participate in lessons learnt sessions
  • Conduct maintenance master data development and data validation
  • Analyze maintenance and Equipment performance to identify optimization opportunities
  • Support the successful delivery of assigned project scheduled and technical project scope
  • Develop and update Asset specific performance assurance maintenance tasks aligned to safety case performance standard requirements
  • Develop maintenance development and optimization proposals and estimates
  • Identify specialist tools, spare parts and consumables required for maintenance activities where necessary
  • Create Work Instructions and Task Lists for simple and complex plant equipment and systems
  • Strong knowledge of Work Management and Control of Work processes and practices
  • Conduct maintenance and reliability data analysis and familiar with data analytics
  • Conduct planning, scheduling, and level-loading exercises
  • Experience in the management of projects, project controls, and coordination
  • Familiarity with and experience in the implementation of maintenance & reliability industry standards such as ISO14224, API Stds, RCM2 methodology, among others

AUTHORITY/ SPECIALITY
  • Awareness of maintenance development technical methodologies
  • Domain expertise in asset maintenance, integrity, and reliability practices
  • Strong working knowledge in the setup of on-premises and enterprise level CMMS such as SAP, Maximo, Oracle, APM among others. Sound understanding of Asset, Maintenance and Materials Master Data Objects
  • Engineering Discipline Specialization - either: Electrical, Mechanical, Process, Instrumentation & Control
  • Analysis of data techniques and familiarity with data analysis tools


Skills / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BSc, B.Eng. B-Tech Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent with Site-based experience in Maintenance management, supervision and

Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the maintenance management systems, execution of maintenance development projects
  • Demonstrable balance of offshore equipment operations and maintenance experience and systems design and commissioning
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current applicable statutory discipline specific regulations and industry standards for operating and maintaining equipment

Job-Specific Skills:
  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance theory in a practical context
  • Experience in Reliability and maintenance processes including Criticality Assessment, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
  • Awareness and working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) both as user and in data development
  • Professional demeanor with appropriate interpersonal skills
  • Good team working and networking skills
  • Strong Excel and spreadsheets skills
  • Strong data analysis and presentation of data skills
  • Good written communication writing procedures and work instructions]
