We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Maintenance Planner located in Freeport, Texas to work on Freeport PO/PG and PDC Hydro Lifetime Extension “LTE”  Projects. This is a special program consisting of multiple maintenance work scopes plus expense project scopes in both plants

The Planner will create job plans and packages from the Project work order scope which contains all of the information regarding required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of the work.

Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities / Duties

•    Plans jobs following the Global Maintenance Work Process (GMWP) linked to the LTE program.

•    Uses feedback from the person doing the work to optimize the work plans.

•    Reviews work orders for technical completeness and returns work orders to gatekeeper, if not complete.

•    Carries out field checks, when needed.

•    Prepares job package and inputs plan into SAP indicating the required resources, materials, and services.

•    Identifies task activities necessary to execute job scope, and identifies materials/tools/equipment required to perform tasks, and identifies resource requirements for the the job plans. This may include steps and resources for crafts to assist with plant prep for the work.

•    Identifies/solicits safety information and requirements necessary to safely perform tasks.

•    Supports Maintenance Procedure Use Policy by ensuring all job packages include a procedure or the task is on the Procedure Exemption list before the job package is released. Checks that all Maintenance Procedures include a hazard assessment.

•    Serves as a technical resource during procedure creation and review, as needed. Creates, develops, changes, updates job procedures and checklists, and initiates procedure Management of Change (MOC), as required.

•    Works with Project team (project manager, manufacturing rep), Operations, Maintenance and Technical Specialists to achieve department, team and plant goals.

Required Qualifications:

•     A minimum of 10 years in a craft role or maintenance equivalent experience in a refining or petrochemical setting is required

•    Must be 18 years old or older

•    Must be willing to work overtime (extra hours beyond your regular schedule)

•    Must have a current, valid US driver’s license to drive a company vehicle.

•    A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel, and have the ability to learn new systems quickly

•    Proficient in SAP

Boilermaking/Pipefitting backgrounds are huge plus 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•    Have a high regard for personal safety and the safety of others

•    Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, solid technical skills and a demonstrated problem solving ability

•    Able to work independently with minimal supervision in an empowered team environment

•    Able to work overtime when required per business demands

•    Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to communicate well, verbally and in writing, and have strong reading comprehension and listening skills

•    Strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills

•    A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks

Physical Requirements:

Must be willing and able to do the following with or without a reasonable accommodation

•    Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a respirator

•    Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting

•    Frequent/occasional lifting of material weighing approximately 50 lbs

•    Work in tight or closed-in spaces

•    Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground

•    Stand 50% of the time

•    Walk for extended periods of time

•    Work in an area of intense or continuous noise

•    Work in an area with hazardous materials

Education:

•    A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required
