What You'll Do

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our DeMarini Bat Factory in Hillsboro, OR.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing maintenance personnel and coordinating maintenance activities for the building and equipment in support of production, distribution, and safety goals of the factory. This position will work closely with the Maintenance Manager, Production Managers, and other operations, maintenance, and engineering teammates to ensure equipment and processes are operating efficiently.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for keeping all the process and building equipment in operating condition to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
  • Supervises shift maintenance employees.
  • Helps in developing and improving preventive maintenance programs.
  • Manages spare parts inventory within budget and operational guidelines.
  • Ensures that maintenance work is properly planned and scheduled.
  • Evaluates the Preventive Maintenance effectiveness by analyzing maintenance costs and equipment downtime.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Confers with outside contractors to obtain service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
  • Performs maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assists in fabrication of new and existing equipment.

What We're Looking For

This role requires High School Diploma or a GED. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years of strong supervisory and maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Other qualifications include:

  • Working knowledge of automation / PLC applications
  • Basic mathematical and statistical skills
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting background
  • A strong team player with positive and professional attitude and a strong bias for action to solve challenges.
  • Strong multi-tasking capabilities and the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment that embraces change and value creation.
  • Electric knowledge and experience working with PLC and Office Programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint.)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role will manage up to 3 team members. As a leader, one is expected to carry out managerial responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and providing constructive feedback; addressing concerns and resolving problems.
