Purpose and Scope: This position provides basic support and preventative maintenance on production equipment. This role will be expected to collaborate with the Maintenance and Production teams to exceed organizational goals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provides equipment support which may include coolant/fluid changes, scrap material removal, and machine cleanings
• Performs general housekeeping activities on and around equipment.

Education, Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Demonstrated use and understanding of basic hand tools.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, and handle objects. The employee is required to push/pull, and reach above shoulder level. The employee must be able to carry/lift up to 40 pounds and be able to rotate item being handled.
• Work on feet for entire shift.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• A basic knowledge of maintenance methods, tools, materials, and equipment.
• Skills needed include: adaptability, communication, customer focus, decision making, dependability, initiative, interpersonal skills, job knowledge, judgment, personal organization, productivity, quality, results focus, teamwork, leadership, people development, project management.
  

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

• Fork lift certification.
• CNC equipment operation.
• Experience working on mechanical systems.
• Understanding of proper handling, storage, and labeling of various chemicals.
• Maintains, and insures others maintain, a clean and orderly work area and that all maintenance actions are accomplished in a safe and timely manner.
