Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift
Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, pumps and plant-facilities (using mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic skills) following a Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedure.
Check equipment to diagnose trouble, adjusting functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary or determine other actionable steps to resolve issues.
Detect faulty operations and defective material and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
Applies knowledge and experience with principles of operation and function of steam boilers, meters, pumps, heaters, steam traps, piping systems, pressure and level regulators and their controls.
Able to use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Maintain updated maintenance logs for company-owned equipment.
Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Comply with facility-wide environmental and quality management systems
Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the repair and maintenance of stationary and mobile equipment.
Five years' experience in maintenance field or:
Associate degree and three years' experience in the maintenance field or
Five years' experience in machine repair environment.
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate effectively with others.
Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Computer skills desired.
