The Mammography Quality Coordinator serves as a resource and a patient care coordinator in conjunction with a multidisciplinary staff in assessing, planning, and coordinating the care of Mammography patients, including necessary documentation and tasks associated with screening exams, diagnostic exams, and interventional workflows. The Quality Coordinator facilitates and develops interdisciplinary collaboration and conducts ongoing assessments of the educational needs of the multidisciplinary staff, patients and their families.

The Quality Coordinator oversees all regulatory compliance issues, including all aspects of the Mammography Quality Standards Act as it is defined by the FDA and ACR and is responsible for preparation for federal inspections and ACR accreditation. The Quality Coordinator coordinates tasks and documentation for Quality Assurance and ensures the department consistently produces high quality mammographic exams and procedures to aide in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

This position reports to the Director, Imaging Services and operates within established organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's degree in radiology or equivalent certification required
  • ARRT Registration required; current license as a Radiologic Technologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist required
  • Prior experience with Mammography Quality Control and MQSA, Massachusetts Quality Standards Act Regulations, American College of Radiology, and FDA regulatory requirements preferred
  • Demonstrated communication skills and attention to detail required
