CLS Generic Position Summary

As a member of the professional staff, contributes a high level of specialized knowledge and skill in a discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Operations Planning & Support, Sales & Marketing) area to support department and/or function objectives. Generally, works with a high level independence, developing plans and related processes with department leader in alignment with broader business objectives.

Specific Job Summary (describe the nature and purpose of the position)

As the Manager, Brand Management, you will report to the Director, Brand Management and be an integral part of the Brand and Digital Center of Excellence (COE). You will be responsible for participation in development and maintenance of the brand vision and strategy for our Interval International core business. This enthusiastic, collaborative and creative thinker will lead the day-to -day execution of brand marketing plans, projects and tactics necessary to deliver against agreed upon goals. He/she will act as the main point of contact with internal business partners to provide overall holistic strategy and guidance to Brand and Digital COE teams (Global Creative, Communications/PR, Digital, and Data Insights) in order to execute holistic and fully integrated programs, plans and initiatives for the organization that are in support of the brand vision and strategy.

  • Performs more complex quantitative and qualitative analysis for business processes and/or projects. Often manages small projects, business processes or parts of larger ones.
  • Responds to, solves and makes decisions on more complex/non-routine business requests with limited to moderate risk.
  • Responsible for own work and contributing to team, department and/or business results. May direct work of non-management staff.
  • Assists more senior associates in achieving business results by:
    • identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of business processes.
    • providing training and technical guidance to less senior staff, where appropriate, and serving as point-of-contact for problem resolution.
    • participating in setting department operating plans.
    • recognizing and celebrating team successes.
    • achieving results against budget within scope of responsibility.
  • Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
  • Performs other duties as appropriate.
Specific Expected Contributions (including duties and responsibilities)
  • Contributes to writing comprehensive marketing briefs/plans in alignment with business partner needs for optimization and execution of cross-functional fully integrated efforts and campaigns
  • Schedules appropriate meetings with Traffic Director and job kick-off execution with all Brand and Digital COEs
  • Has in depth knowledge of brand strategy and vision and works with business partners to ensure programs and campaigns are aligned and optimized; brings ideas and industry insight to the table
  • Understands how to execute again Paid, Owned, Earned media strategies where relevant
  • Partners closely with internal COE teams for expertise and to meet deliverables across functions: Global Creative and Delivery, Global Content and Social Team, Digital Teams, Public Relations and Internal Communications to ensure pull through and activation to all channel touchpoints in alignment with brand vision and strategy
  • Act as the main point of contact for business partners to ensure marketing deliverables are met and tactics are executed on time in coordination with other B&D COEs
  • Responsible for executing against program or campaign strategy and ensuring the highest level of service is delivered.
  • Collaborates with internal business partners on integrating brand marketing elements into broader business strategies and campaigns.
  • Partners with Global Data and Insights team to help define preliminary strategies, determine actionable KPIs- and measure the overall performance campaigns and channels; Responsible to report out on efforts to B&D leaders and business partners
  • Works with external agency partners when necessary to guarantee program tactics are executed on-time and at a high-quality.
  • Researches potential marketing opportunities for business partners, recognizes areas for economies of scale and leverage; and brings strategic insight to conversations
  • Partners with Content Team to ensure planned video and photo content captures all internal partner needs for planned campaigns and brand marketing use on annual basis
  • Completes and attends internal trainings as needed
  • Perform other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
  • Responds to ad-hoc requests.

  • Maintains positive working relations with business partners, internal and external partners, and Brand& Digital COE.
  • Provides feedback to continually improve work processes and systems that support program execution.
  • Attends training and conferences to increase subject matter expertise and broaden skills; Actively seeks out opportunities to learn more to elevate our brands.
  • Manages time effectively and presents ideas, expectations and information in a timely, concise, organized manner.

CLS Generic Candidate Profile

Successful candidates should possess knowledge and experience and demonstrate strong leadership and relationship skills as follows:

Generally, a professional position requiring significant knowledge and experience in one or more disciplines and/or business operations as well as associate and/or organizational management experience. College degree and/or relevant experience generally required.

Specific Candidate Profile (the education, experience, skills and attributes that are important for this position)
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, marketing, communications, hospitality management or related field required.
  • Advertising agency experience preferred; Account services direction
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in brand activation or marketing services support; media, partnerships and promotions, account direction, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Strong understanding of strategy pull-through, digital, app and online marketing initiatives, emerging technologies and social media best practices
  • Demonstrated experience with project management and reporting capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Organized, detail-oriented and deadline sensitive; takes initiative and anticipates needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders.
