ADP is hiring a Carrier Relations Manager. In this position you will Manage the benefits client acceptance process ("BRET") for ADP TotalSource, ensuring that systems, processes and activities support the carrier contractual and business compliance requirements. Partners with the Information Technology resources to maintain and update the BRET application. Works closely with key stakeholders such as Sales, Carrier partners, IT, brokers and Carrier Relations department resources to ensure that the processes and systems support the business objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages the benefits client acceptance process ("BRET") for ADP TotalSource, ensuring that systems, processes and activities support the carrier contractual and business compliance requirements.
  • Provides support to the Sales force and Sales Operations. Consults and partners with Sales on perspective client proposals, and provides guidance on exceptions and potentials risks to ensure ADP TotalSource is compliant with Carrier obligations.
  • Analyzes monthly metrics, and monitors service level agreements to ensure that the department business objectives.
  • Develops, establishes and implements standardized BRET practices across the sales organization.
  • Assists with the training initiatives by developing the curriculum and presentations. Conducts BRET training for new Sales coordinators as well as ongoing training for the existing Sales associates.
  • Researches best practices and measures effectiveness of tools and processes deployed. Works with brokers/consultants, carriers and staff to leverage best practices and address areas for improvement.
  • Establishes and monitors quality and productivity metrics for BRET analysts. Recruits, manages and evaluates talent required to effectively achieve results.
  • Oversees day-to-day performance of BRET analysts and broker resources.
  • Provides coaching, and ensures they achieve quality and productivity metrics.

  • Initiates/Administers pay, performance, development and hire /fire although closely reviewed at next level
  • Establishes goals and objectives, and manages the activities of others toward their achievement.
  • Manages associates including pay, performance, management development and hire/fire responsibilities.
  • Although hire/fire responsibilities may require further approval, recommendations are given heavy weight.
  • In terms of involvement in the work of those being led, engaged at the goal setting/ prioritization level and as an escalation point.
  • Monitors environment and provides regular feedback.
  • Modifies priorities in line with changing business demands.
  • May occasionally engage in the work they manage.
  • Interprets/administers corporate and local policy.
  • Provides input to and manages to established goals and objectives.
  • Implements key strategies.
  • is available for unusual Working Hours
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Over 5 Years, Up to 8 Years of Directly Related Experience.
  • A minimum of 7 years experience with process re-engineering and/or operations, ideally in a benefits or underwriting / insurance environment.
  • Must have 3-5 years supervisory experience is required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • Cross-functional project management experience including technical expertise.
    Strong written/oral communication skills are required.
  • An understanding of benefits, including Section 125, ERISA, FRS, DOL, HIPAA/COBRA and FMLA a plus.
  • The ability to influence others and manage conflict are required.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are required.
