About the Role

The Reporting and Analytics Manager is responsible for various analyst techniques to address business objectives, using current system applications, creating/maintaining contact center reporting, and utilizing data to generate business insights. As leader of a team, you will be responsible to develop and manage a growth mindset to drive proactive insights and leverage tools to create meanfull actionable data. The position will be tasked with moving reporting from manual to automated and supporting organizational initiatives using benchmark data and insights as well as offering support for internal and external processes. The Manager will also make recommended business improvements based on data analysis and create accurate data to drive the contact center's business. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the business configuration and maintenance of our department's reporting infostructure, reporting tools, and analytics solutions.

The successful candidate has a strong analytical mindset, is passionate about storytelling, and is skilled at driving decisions with data. They are highly proficient at accessing and manipulating complex, large scale data, utilizing SQL and databases, and are eager to drive a digital-first, growth-oriented, data-driven team.

What You'll Do

  • Listen to business stakeholders and translate needs into opportunities to generate insights, test and/or improve processes.
  • Create automation of reporting and data insights using tools like PowerBi and Azure databases.
  • Perform data analyses to quantify and monitor customer metrics and trends to help Brand Leadership better understand the customer and drive customer-centric decision making.
  • Shift team from data entry reporting analyst to development of analyst that proactively mine data and insights to drive meaningful business insights.
  • Streamline operational delivery for key reporting deliverables.
  • Assemble customer, product, financial, transactional, and site browse data from multiple large-scale on-prem and cloud-based data systems using SQL and appropriate data science packages. Provide actionable recommendations and package for business consumption.
  • Develop and track customer segmentation, customer behavioral KPIs by evolving key performance and strategic business dashboards and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-brand and cross-functional Decision Support team members to stay current on team initiatives and identify opportunities to contribute to the larger team.
  • Continually learn about Gap Inc.'s data, systems, and capabilities to continually improve your impact, influence, and data storytelling skills.
  • Maintain historical data and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage team of reporting specialist to deliver on Adhoc, daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements

Who You Are

  • Analytically minded with strong business acumen and excited for a role that requires you to combine the two
  • 4+ years of experience in an analytics role, with at least two years in a business setting, preferably with a multi-channel contact center, or in a management/internal consulting role where analytics is a central area of focus
  • Manage and develop people directly and indirectly into business insight experts. Work within team and other business groups to teach how to utilize data and gain insights to drive performance.
  • Highly proficient in using SQL, Power BI and Excel for analysis - effective write and optimization experience required.
  • Growth Mindset to continuous improvement and create process to drive the team forward.
  • Strong business acumen and superior written, verbal skills
  • Adept at drawing insights, visualizing results, curating client-facing presentation materials, and translating "data speak" to business partners, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Experienced with building data visualizations, business intelligence tools and data mining tools. Ex: PowerBI, Azure, SQL.
  • Familiarity with CRM's, including Salesforce and understanding of data between systems.
  • Curious, life-long learner, self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Experience with budget and financial analysis, tracking, and reporting as it relates to business initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent job experience in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Data Science, or other related field required.
  • Contact Center experience knowledge a plus.
