TheEnterprise Business ConsultancyTeam:

The team acts as a consulting practice within PayPal and is part of the Global Accounts organization. We believe delivering actionable business insights are a growth engine to our business and is a significant component of our Go-to-market strategy and customer life-cycle management. Working closely with the Customer Success, Sales and Analytics teams we performdetailed audits dive deepinto each of our merchant's business models to provide tailored recommendations to helpoptimize payments operations and cost. Our goal is to ensure that the value derived byPayPal direct card processing far exceeds their expectations.

Responsibilities:

The Manager, Enterprise Business Consultancy is amultifacetedposition.

Participating into the Merchant Operations Optimization effort you will be responsible for creating programs and tailored recommendations with the goal of driving e-commerce merchant's incremental revenue, reducing costs and/or lower risks. This position especially focuses on (but is not limited to) the merchant's operations and approval performance sides of the equation.

You will be able to:
  • Deliver strong recommendations backed by data and deep audit to help optimize and enhance PayPal's customers payments operations.
  • Give strategic guidance to drive process improvements and metricsattainment.
  • Participate into payment optimization plans for PayPal's top customers by providing insights on potential cost savings via Interchange optimization globally.

With the goal of supporting the core product team, the customer successand business development teams you will also be responsible for analyzing and presenting data so PayPal Payments can help merchants grow, reduce costs, manage payments operations better and transform their businesses.

You will be self-motivated and able to act with a high level of independence. You will be entrepreneurial -- business minded and will be working with stakeholders throughout the organization. You ideally have experience working with financial institutions globally, having analyzed and created new product initiatives and grown it to full-released product. You have a deep understanding of financial institutions, card not present payments and merchant operations in global markets.

Requirements:
  • 5+years experiencein a payment (cards and alternative forms) processing environment (processor, merchant, acquiring bank, card network), with experience in e-commerce with a focus on helping merchants grow revenue.Experience workingat anonline merchant a plus.
  • Ideally5+years experiencein global card processing andacquiringplatforms, APIs,reconciliationand back-end reporting etc...
  • Ability to manipulate and interpret data (experience writing SQL queries, creating reports and dashboards) to deliver concrete action plans. Experienced creating content using Tableau is a big plus but not a hard requirement.
  • Significant people and organizational management skills.
  • Experience managing global external relationships a plus.
  • Strategic in all things, Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
  • Intellectual curiosity and the willingness to learn all of the facets of our product and process.
  • Detail oriented, with attention to detail even in executing large scale plans with lots of moving pieces.
  • Experience collaborating with cross functional groups across a large enterprise with a track record of successful deliveries.
  • Understanding of the various players in the payments space and how the ecosystem works.
  • Strong payments and businessacumen, financial and analytical skills.
  • Keen listener, understanding that success is rooted in understanding.
  • Strong communicator who takes his/her job seriously but does not take himself/herself too seriously. Experience working effectively with senior leaders, peers, and direct reports.
  • Action-oriented and ability to execute.
