Job Description:

The Marketing Project Planner will work with all department members to plan and track projects and ensure timely execution. This will involve items ranging from media planning to creative development. Contact with outside vendors is an integral part of the position as is the ability to monitor campaigns across a variety of platforms. This individual acts as the point person for all marketing activities and will use analytical skills to systematically develop goals and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of activities. Additionally, the Marketing Project Planner will be the main point of contact for media and online advertising platforms and will act as a liaison between outside firms and the internal marketing department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works closely with Marketing team to develop a media plan for the year by researching media kits and BPAs, laying out schedules, and tracking proposed spending
  • Develops, understands, and maintains project plans/schedules and timelines for material creation to support our media plans
  • Uses department-preferred Project Management tools like Outlook calendars, Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams/Planner to drive projects and manage deadlines
  • Utilizes project management software to develop, manage, and adjust schedules to ensure work is timely, on budget, and meets our published brand standards
  • Tracks and escalates projects that are at risk of missing deadlines, works with impacted parties to set revised schedules and utilizes problem-solving techniques to ensure a project or process remains on schedule
  • Negotiates with publications, evaluates merits of online opportunities, and suggests ways to optimize advertising efforts
  • Identifies opportunities for improving processes related to the creation of advertising content and marketing collateral
  • Supports the management of the team's digital file directory on the network, keeping it organized and easy to find records of past and current collateral
  • Creates a marketing calendar that tracks all major department wide projects, maintains it throughout the year as projects shift and are added or completed
  • Regularly examines online directory programs to ensure the company's presence is optimized
  • Utilizes writing and creative talents to assist video, social media, web, and technical teams in content creation efforts
  • Manages campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
  • Understands the buyer journey and how it relates to marketing efforts
  • Develops a wide array of email marketing campaigns for events and nurturing of prospects
  • Coordinates all parts of lead nurturing programs, including content needs, timing, and reporting of effectiveness
  • Creates landing page templates, forms, and email campaigns to support digital campaigns

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Media
  • Software Requirements:
    • Adobe Creative Suite
    • MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
    • Survey Development (Qualtrics, Capterra, Survey Monkey)
  • Preferred experience:
    • Experience with Marketing Automation tools (Hubspot or similar)
    • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Ability to perform essential duties

  • Ability to analyze data, determine important issues, and compile the information so that it addresses key points. Use spreadsheets, charts and graphs to analyze and present data
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate questions or problems, and work through a solution
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to take raw data and distill it down to meaningful, actionable reports that can be presented in a logical manner. Ability to present data to groups of various structure and sizes
  • Ability to effectively present findings and understand options for various programs through conference calls and webinars

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time
  • Primary work environment is professional corporate office

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is: Min $52,988 to Max $79,481.
