Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide general oversite to team to ensure that all warehousing activities including but not limited to receiving, shipping, manufacturing support, and inventory control in compliance with Safety, cGMP, and Quality Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Able to perform all activities of a Material Handler 3.
  • Utilizes pallet jacks, stand-up reach trucks, sit-down reach trucks, turret trucks, electric rider jacks, box trucks to unload/load material and transport it between areas.
  • Provides hands on training to new employees on operating material handling equipment.
  • Performs transactions in ERP/WMS system including but not limited to shipping, entering cycle counts, material receipts, shipments, etc.
  • Able to investigate and resolve complex shipping or receiving issues utilizing ERP/WMS system. Provides feedback/suggestions to minimize reoccurring issues.
  • Subject matter expert (SME) on Oracle ERP/ WMS system.
  • Able to format documents in Microsoft Office.
  • Utilizes PowerPoint to present data and information to employees and leadership.
  • Utilizes Excel to perform basis data analysis including utilizing formulas and pivot tables.
  • Implements process improvement ideas.
  • Leads daily team meetings to review performance and daily workload.
  • Provides additional training to employees to ensure they are meeting goals.
  • Assess daily priorities and assigns activities, makes adjustments as necessary throughout the day.
  • Analyze data to drive decision making and/or in support of root cause analysis of performance misses or successes.
  • Present metrics/information to leadership team.
  • Develop reports that provide actionable insights to the operation.
  • Investigates a resolves complex customer requests from internal partners.
  • Documents standard operating procedures and/or work instructions.
  • Investigates and resolves quality incidents.

Required Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in material handling role.
  • 1+ year experience in a cGMP environment
  • 2+ years utilizing Oracle ERP/HighJump WMS or 3+ years of experience completing transactions in other ERP/WMS system
  • 1+ year experience operating electric powered material handling equipment
  • Basic computer data entry skills
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to obtain a forklift certification
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Class C license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of or expereince in 5S/lean/six sigman environment

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent.

Travel Required:
  • Up to 25%

Functional Description

Ensures security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Develops and executes replenishment strategies; conducts physical inventories and leads cycle counts. Analyzes and, when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies. Audits incoming and outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compiles and documents all transactions for data entry. Responsible for the physical receipt, storage, pick, pack, ship, transport and delivery of inventory.
