SUMMARY

The material handler will work under the supervision of the shift supervisor. The material handler will perform various tasks related to material handling and colorant mixing in an injection molding environment. Duties include mixing of materials, filling of molding machine hoppers and dryers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Contributes to team effort in a collaborative and supportive manner.

* Adheres to the Quality Manual procedures for handling products and materials (i.e. Process Control, Labeling and Traceability and Handling, Storage, Packaging, Preservation & Delivery & Control of Customer supplied product)
* Prepares all material for daily production
* Loads and unloads various materials and merchandise
* Handles shelving, placing materials in proper locations, transporting materials or merchandise by forklift or hand-truck
* Ensures that dryers are kept full at all times and that the material is being dried at the proper temperature
* Documents material usage
* Keeps raw material warehouse and grinding room in a neat and orderly fashion.

Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different kinds of machinery, equipment, processes and chemicals which produce potential hazards in the work environment such as: ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic. These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs. In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

* ASTM F-2413 rated safety toed shoes
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on equivalent basis

* High school diploma or GED

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

* Forklift Certified

LANGUAGE SKILLS

* Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

* Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

JOB SKILLS

* Proficient in MS Office
* Good communication, written skills, PC
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
