Job Responsibilities:

Pond seeks experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our winning design teams at our Peachtree Corners Headquarters. With continued growth, we seek to fill multiple openings within our Mechanical team within the Energy Department serving Oil & Gas and aviation fueling clients worldwide. We work as a full service, multi discipline team of dedicated and talented engineers, architects, planners and construction employees delivering comprehensive design consulting to our customers.

We are currently seeking a Mid-Senior Level Engineer with some experience designing and engineering of complex industrial piping systems. The candidate will work directly with multi-disciplinary engineering and project management teams.

The candidate must be self-motivated and capable of working on projects within a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

*Qualifications & Job Description *

  • Ideal candidate would have 3-5 Years of experience in the design and engineering of Oil & Gas Facilities, Terminals, Pipelines, or Refueling Facilities for Military and Commercial clients.
  • Strong working knowledge, both practical and theoretical, of piping systems and components, gas and liquid systems, pipelines, pumps, compressors, control valves, tanks, instrumentation, etc
  • Engineer -in -Training (EIT) licensed preferred with capabilities to obtain the professional registration upon completion of needed experience.
  • Knowledge of Industrial & Government Codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, NFPA, UFC (WBDG), Title 49 CFR -Subtitle B
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle high-level multi-tasking.
  • Excellent communications and engineering report writing skills are a must.
  • Must be able to handle client requests and translate into engineering scope.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD design packages. Experience with Plant 3D, CADWorx is highly preferred
  • Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous projects at various levels of support and responsibility.
  • Familiarity with fueling systems, pumps, filtration, and above-ground and underground storage tanks, FAA Advisory Circular or DOD Unified Facilities Criteria is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will work with our internal team as well as with clients on small and large projects to provide ad-hoc engineering services on-schedule and within budget.
  • Design, assist in developing the engineering and construction packages and drawings of various projects in the Midstream and Fueling market
  • Performs and document calculations supporting system designs.
  • Prepares P&IDs, PFDs, detailed drawings, and bills of material that meet project and code requirements
  • Conduct design peer review, and quality checks
  • Assists in establishing project schedules and task assignments
  • Lead or participate in, hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies.
  • Mentor less experienced and entry level engineers
  • Must be able to manage and supervise a small team of junior engineers, assist in developing Proposal and Man-hour Estimates with minimum of no supervision
