Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Planner at our Rincon, GA facility. The Mechanical Maintenance Planner will support Maintenance by utilizing their experience, technical, and analytical skills. They will also be planning future tasks, creating a job plan library, and updating asset strategies to develop job plan accuracy. Ultimately, they will be promoting Reliability-Centered Maintenance to maximize long term value creation with a focus on increasing wrench time and machine reliability utilizing the Asset Care Work Process.

The pay for this position is commensurate with experience




Day shift (4-10 hour shifts or 5-8 hour shifts)

Our Savannah River Mill in Rincon, GA began operations in October 1986 and is considered a world-class operation in the industry. Five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility. Our operation is designed to produce products primarily from recycled fiber. We have over 50 converting lines that make the tissue, towel, and napkin products in our retail and away from home markets. What You Will Do

* Plan future jobs by performing field inspections and developing accurate work scopes

* Provide Maintenance ample work to cover available maintenance work hours for at least one week or more

* Maintain and develop bills of materials for accuracy

* Identify and attempt to resolve safety and environmental issues

* Work with Reliability group to increase equipment performance and operation

* Work with Engineering to assist with asset strategy development for new equipment and upgrades

* Obtain quote for contract work utilizing a scope of work provided by the GPR

* Create job plans for weekly, scheduled shutdown and mechanical task for mill down periods

* Maintain an accurate backlog of work

* Nights Weekend and oft shift hours may be required to support the team's efforts

* Ability to work in a team environment

* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

* Strong sense of urgency, ability to set priorities as they arise

* Ability to accept constant change improving and maintaining processes and equipment

* Good mechanical aptitude, good technical knowledge of the Pulp, Paper, and Utility Mill equipment.

* Proven written and verbal communication skills.

* Strong computer skills including SAP, Trax, or the ability to learn within 4 months

* Model safe behavior (lead by example)

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* 5 or more years of industrial maintenance and / or experience

* Knowledge of maintenance work process

* Experience utilizing Maintenance CMMS systems

* Experience using Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

* Ability to communicate through multiple platforms (email, verbal, text)

* Self-driven motivated individual that works well in a team environment

What Will Put You Ahead

* Prior experience in planning

* Experience with the current CMMS system

* Experience developing updating / maintaining Job plans, and BOM's

* Paper Machine system and mechanical knowledge
