Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel Auburn, Inc. has an opening for a Mechanical Supervisor. This is a day shift supervisory position with responsibilities for emergent situations after hours. The supervisor is responsible for building and leading a team of mechanical technicians. Responsibilities include execution of effective maintenance processes, team member training, and development, identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities, and project management. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with maintenance and operations teams and is directly responsible for leading the mechanical maintenance team to achieve results in safety, reliability, and cost-efficiency.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year degree in an mechanical discipline or equivalent technical training and experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working in industrial mechanical maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a leadership role
- Project Management experience
- Advanced training/certifications in Mechanical maintenance
