Location: Austin, TX
Description:

Special Duties:

Extended Hour Clinic - The (Certified) Medical Assistant performs a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel; Quality screenings and various other procedures. Delivers quality customer service and maintains established quality control standards. Team Shared responsibilities with the front desk.

Shift Start/End Time: Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 9:00pm

Holidays 9-4pm

Saturday or Sunday 9-4pm

Dress Code: Scrubs - Dark Blue or Gray Preferred; Solid Colors.

Responsibilities:

Ability to do screenings on patients; Trainable on Equipment - PFT, DPN, Quanta Flo, BP

Drawing Lab and Make Ready for Pick up a "MUST".

Multi Line Phone and scheduling as needed at the front desk.

Must have qualifications/experience:

- High school graduate or GED equivalent required.

- Current CPR certification or the ability to attain the certification within 30 days of employment.

- Basic Computer Experience - Windows, Perform Excellent Documentation and Tracking, etc.

- Knowledge of medical terminology required.

- ICD-9 and CPT coding required.

- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations required.

- Good communication and customer service skills required.

- Ability to travel frequently within assigned market.

- Be flexible and adaptable to change.

- Current Driver's License and reliable transportation.

**Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) with at least one year of hands on patient related experience in a medical setting office or facility as a Medical Assistant preferred.

- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
