Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Medical Assistant LPN

  • Position type: Contract.
  • Location: East Syracuse, New York
  • Job/ Shift Hours: 3 days a week - Monday - Wednesday 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
As a Medical Assistant LPN:
  • Prepare patients for medical evaluation, including but not limited to: obtaining vital signs; updating medical, surgical, and social history; reviewing and updating allergies and medications; and utilizing the EPIC medical record system appropriately.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Spirometry, Audiometry, Dynamometry, Phlebotomy, Urine Collection, Snellen Eye Examinations, and Hemoccult as needed.
  • Prepare charts for patient visits, including abstraction of charts, and printing test results when available.
  • Conduct pre-visit assessments.
  • Monitor information releases received from patients, ensuring that outside records are received in a timely manner.
  • Oversee maintenance of medical equipment, including calibration, battery checks, refrigeration temperature monitoring, maintaining sufficient clinical supplies, and monitoring expiration dates of various clinical supplies.
  • Provide support for phone and office reception services.
  • Assist with front-end administrative duties, including but not limited to checking patients in and out of the office.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant or Medical Office Assistant program.
  • 3 years' experience directly related to the medical field.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills required.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $18- $25 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
