There is a great opportunity for a Medical Lab Director to join a team of medical professionals at a critical access facility in Northern Colorado. This 23+ bed hospital uses state-of-the-art technology while the lab itself carries alliance with multiple laboratory locations in the Colorado area. 

The Medical Lab Director will lead a Laboratory Manager, a Laboratory Supervisor, and multiple Lab Techs in their efforts to provide high quality services to each patient. This facility is an elite member of Carent Laboratory Solutions Network and make use of other facilities when in need of specific lab results that are uncommon, or difficult to perform locally on site. This facility goes through extensive survey and research yearly to keep their great accreditation while also being certified by the College of American Pathologists (CAP). 

There is much responsibility for the Medical Lab Director while on site. With that being said, 4+ years of experience in a Medical Lab as well as a minimum of 2 years in a management role is very important. If you do not carry this experience but believe you have a background that matches the needs, you are still encouraged to apply. Director is responsible for the overall operation and administration of the department as well as staffing needs to choose competent and compliant staff members to perform everyday procedures. 

Other responsibilities of Medical Lab Director may include;

• Proper examination, and analysis in making a diagnosis
• Ongoing monitoring of each test used in Lab
• Preparing budgets, schedules, and reports as needed
• Record and report test results effectively, and efficiently
