Today, IMSA is the sanctioning body of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the premier sports car racing series in North America. IMSA seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Medical Liaison.

The Medical Liaison will be the source for medical knowledge for competitors and officials and the point person in the communication process during a medical event.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Act as a responsible and knowledgeable resource for medical information 24/7 while being HIPAA compliant.
• Manage track medical preparation ensuring minimum requirement set forth by IMSA prior to each event is achieved.
• Manages all aspects of medical data for IMSA competitors and officials, including accident cards on drivers and crews.
• Manages participant history and physicals alerting appropriate personnel of any potential medical issues that may affect driver's safety.
• Manages medical data on a real time basis ensuring IMSA's files regarding competitors' history, physicals, injuries and medical outcomes are accurate and up to date.
• Liaison between the medical personnel providing medical care for injured NASCAR competitors and officials. Keep IMSA upper management informed on competitor's status.
• Follows up on medical care and outcomes of injured IMSA competitors and officials.
• Collects data on medical care and outcomes to study safety issues

Required skills / experience:

• Associates degree as a registered nurse with 3-5 years' experience.
• 5 years' nursing experience in emergency medicine, critical care, trauma or related.
• Knowledge of Abbreviated Injury Scoring.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Strong administrative skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• RN license.
• Ability to travel 80% including weekends.
