Are you our next NASS Senior Accountant, Inventory?

As the Senior Accountant, Inventory you will prepare monthly inventory accounting journal entries and reporting, and other related activities for North America Inventory. This includes journal entry preparation of all of Mosaic's Phosphates inventory activity, including raw material activity costing with emphasis on balance sheet activity. Other responsibilities will include Inventory Balance Sheet Reconciliations for the Phosphates Business Unit, accounting for balance sheet accounts to ensure that volumes and prices are accounted for correctly per GAAP and company policies and assisting team members support, as needed.

What will you do?

• Preparation of monthly inventory accounting and reporting, and other related activities for North America inventory
  
• Journal entry preparation of all of Mosaic's Phosphates inventory activity, including raw material activity and costing.
  
• Responsible for Phosphates cost assessments and Phosphates Inventory Costing Runs as part of the monthly Phosphates accounting close.
  
• Complete inventory balance sheet reconciliations for various North American legal entities, and accounting for balance sheet accounts to ensure that volumes and prices are accounted for correctly per GAAP.
  
• Complete Phosphates cost assessments and inventory costing runs as part of the monthly Phosphates accounting close.
  

What do you need for this role?

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with emphasis in accounting and/or finance is required.
  
• 5+ years experience preparing journal entries and general accounting duties.
  
• Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices is required.
  
• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and the ability to apply these principles in practice.
  
• Demonstrated understanding of sales accounting and inventory accounting.
  
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills is required.
  
• Experience/knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
  
• Willingness to collaboratively challenge the business and create innovative solutions.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Highly motivated and self-directed.
