The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, (MAPMG) is one of the nation's premier multispecialty medical groups and is the largest integrated medical group in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. Basic Functions:

MAPMG is seeking a Network Contracting Intern to provide support to the Network Contracting Department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The intern will be responsible for assisting with light physician recruiting efforts, network gap analyses, contract modeling, employer group/regulatory RFP/RFI/NQTL publications

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Business Consultant Analyst to perform network gap analysis to identify provider resources in closing network gaps
• Assist with light recruiting work, including researching, sourcing, and vetting prospective providers for inclusion in our network
• Manage, source and gather quantitative and qualitative information needed to respond to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs) and Non-Quantitative Treatment Limitation (NQTL) publications
• Work closely with Business Consultant Analyst to develop and operationalize a Contracting Annualized Impact Tool
• Work closely with Business Consultant Analyst to perform network gap analyses to support network expansion activities
• Analyze contract models and financial analyses
• Prepare short presentations
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a college or university pursing a degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, economics, or related field
• Knowledge of the health care industry preferred
• Master level education preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• SQL/Tableau/SAS coding background preferred
