Responsibilities

The Office Manager plans, supervises, coordinates, and directs the day-to-day practice operations. Solicits input from providers on daily practice issues and ensures that the practices meet the standard for performance and service to patients. Maintains clinical quality, financial viability, service excellence and patient, staff and provider satisfaction. Promotes continuity of care and enhances the growth of practice volume. Maintains proficiency in business operations and resolves operational issues and problems. Covers office functions as needed. Acts as a liaison to the WellStar Medical Group Business Office, Clinical Management Consultants, Provider Relations, and other WellStar departments. Reports to the Director of Practice Operations.

Qualifications

Required Minimum Education:

  • Associates degree from an accredited college or university in business or related field of study
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Required Minimum Experience:
  • 2-3 years of healthcare management/supervisory experience in an ambulatory healthcare or hospital operational setting
Required Minimum Skills:
  • Professional-level computer skills and advanced experience with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written/ verbal communication and presentation skills; a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy and discretion excellent judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills; as well as strong customer-service skills
  • Superior leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff, collaborate with physicians and maintain positive patient interactions
  • Ability to collect, analyze and apply data and other practice information; understands and applies fundamental principles of financial analysis, strategic planning, operations, human resources and information systems
