Total Airport Services is seeking Customer Service Agent is a highly motivated individual, a self-starter, and team player, with a strong drive for results and continuous improvement. The Customer Service Agent is responsible for delivering excellent customer service. The Customer Service Agent will promote a positive team environment.
3. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•Safety

  1. Practice safety-conscious behaviors according to TAS organizational guidelines ensuring a safe and secure operation, in accordance with the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements.
  2. All customer service agents are required to work consistently in public areas surrounded by other people and be able to understand and respond to a variety of questions about travel information.
  • Operational Performance
  1. Greet our customers to guide and assist them with ticketing and baggage check-in.
  2. Agents are responsible for all aspects of the ticketing process - selling, printing, reissue.
  3. Ensure our customers have the proper documentation for travel, properly tagging baggage and performing lifting tasks that involve transferring baggage from scales to conveyor beltsSafe preparation for aircraft arrival, boarding and deplaning customer service of aircraft passengers.
  4. Gate agents are required to operate jet ways to place them in position prior to aircraft arrival and lifting, opening, closing, and securing aircraft doors.
  5. The gate agent position requires the use of computers and assists our customers with seat availability, gate announcements with regard to the boarding process, flight status, checking and handling baggage, managing and initiating the boarding process.
  6. Gate agents make professional public gate announcements that exhibit a positive, personal, and professional tone.
  7. Provide baggage service and assisting passengers with mishandled baggage.
  8. Provide flight, ticket, direction, and other travel information and customer services to passengers.

  1. Understand our customers' needs, quickly finding resolutions to problems and maintaining professionalism and composure.
  2. Assist customers with special needs and unaccompanied minors.

• Fiscal Responsibility
  1. Monitor and control operational costs.

Regulatory Compliance
  1. Ensure compliance to all FAA, TSA, and DOT regulations establish sound working relationships with FAA, TSA, Customs, Immigrations, airport authorities, and business partners.
  2. Attend all TAS assigned local airport, security, and safety meetings.
  • Cultivate a Professional, Team-based Work Environment
    1. Able to work with a multinational workforce, and to adjust to the local conditions of the station.
    2. Comply with attendance and timekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Perform Other functions or Duties as required.
  • Work shifts as required by the business. Work schedules will span a 24/7 operation including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Flexible work shifts will be assigned and can include late nights and early mornings.


NOTE: TAS Applicants must in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards pass a security clearance (for airport security purposes) a federal background check, be fingerprinted, and complete the required educational course(s) prior to being issued an airport badge, and Customs Border Protection seal.

4. QUALIFICATIONS

An individual must be able to perform each Essential Duty satisfactorily to perform this job successfully.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Computer experience necessary.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, 10-year background check (criminal/employment) and be able to obtain a required airport security clearance.
Must be able to obtain Airport badge within 30 days.
Demonstrates qualities of leadership, initiative, and judgment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Must have ability to work under pressure.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (31.9kg).
Ability to work weekends (ie. Friday, Saturday, Sunday), holidays, and days off.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
May be necessary to speak other language(s), in addition to English, depending on customer contract.
