Position Overview

Novelis in Uhrichsville (formerly known as Aleris, IMCO Recycling, and Commonwealth Aluminum) is seeking an Operations Coordinator to

develop and maintain data that supports tactical and strategic metal blending objectives.

Novelis in Uhrichsville (formerly known as Aleris, IMCO Recycling, and Commonwealth Aluminum) is seeking an Associate Production Planner to compile and distribute data used to plan, schedule, and ship orders, supporting on-time delivery, achieving maximum throughput and maintaining inventory targets.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Core accountabilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with policies and state and federal regulations; participate in monthly safety meetings; complete safety observations to support safety programs
  • Support the Materials Division in meeting or exceeding the Business Unit's Strategic Initiatives
  • Review and maintain material data including inventory, Molten Metal Verifications, and RSI reports; perform weekly count of remelt of all raw materials
  • Schedule incoming raw material shipments to meet production requirements and maintain inventory level objectives
  • Provide the Uhrichsville Operations with a daily schedule of incoming raw material shipments
  • Schedule appointments with scrap material vendors; create and communicate appointment numbers
  • Serve as the point of contact for material identified as potential problems
  • Work with the Materials Analyst to update and distribute gainsharing data
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

  • Required Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Proven ability to perform data-entry with minimal mistakes
    • Flexibility to multi-task in a quick paced environment
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data
    • Strong written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work any shift as needed to support our 24/7 operations

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bahelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
    • Working knowledge of an ERP (Oracle) preferred

    Opened in 1985, Novelis in Uhrichsville employs more than 370 people, making us one of Tuscarawas County's largest employers. The facility produces rolled aluminum sheet for building and construction, transportation and consumer durable applications.
