Job Summary:

The Panel Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of Panel Technicians to assemble electrical control panels. This position is focused on interpreting control panel layouts and schematics for an electrical control panel and working alongside a team to complete the control panel build while supporting the overall project schedule.

Essential Functions:

Lead daily activities to meet performance targets, resolve production issues, and promote continuous improvement

  • Promote a safe work environment and keep work areas free of hazards.
  • Coordinate with Supervisor to develop daily plan and targets.
  • Review status of open items (Daily Routine Management board updates).
  • Ensure items necessary for team members to perform daily work assignments are staged, preventing "go gets."
  • Assign team members to work statement; coordinate to get backup coverage for absent team members.
  • Communicate daily performance targets to the team.
  • Understand the statement of work to performed by the team.
  • Train others to perform standard work processes.
  • Facilitate 5S activities throughout the day.
  • Be the first point of contact for team members for process problems or needs to perform daily work.
  • Coordinate to resolve production issues by utilizing support staff and supervisor.
  • Update and communicate progress on the daily team targets throughout the day (DRM).
  • Monitor scheduled work progress and coordinate with Supervisor to identify overtime requirements.
  • Become product Subject Matter Expert.


Continuous Improvement
  • Understand how business goals and objectives relate to your statement of work and communicate them to your team.
  • Communicate goals and objectives to the team. Develop plans and conduct activities to align with the goals and performance.
  • Participate in Kaizen teams.
  • Lead your team in process improvement and defect reduction activities. Drive root cause resolution.
  • Facilitate the implementation of improvements identified by your team.


Education and Experience:
  • Two-year EE technical degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required
  • 1+ years of electrical panel assembly experience


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Multimeter - resistance, current and voltage testing
  • Hand tools
  • MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
