The Role in Brief

Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing partner deliverables, from development through deployment. The Operations Manager will ensure partnership obligations are completed in a timely manner, through the establishment and adherence to partnership deadlines. The Operations Manager will work closely with campaign managers, business process associates, and account teams to support timely and accurate partner deliverables.

This role is in Richmond, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, monitor, and prioritize creative and data team workloads in terms of project quantity, complexity and deliverable due dates to predict and troubleshoot resource needs
  • Develop work plans for execution of marketing, data and product enhancements
  • Keep team members apprised of project statuses and progress.
  • Contribute to business process improvement efforts by providing user feedback that helps streamline and standardize workflow, communication and resource efficiencies
  • Advocate for creative and data team members during regularly occurring cross-functional project team meetings and huddles
  • Communicate project-related issues, changes, variances and contingencies that may arise during projects; facilitate problem resolution with appropriate parties
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and remove impediments that jeopardize success of the deliverables
  • Work closely with Business Process Associate using Workfront system to oversee and troubleshoot workflow, while strategically facilitating and guiding next steps
  • Support a culture of continuous process improvement in a direct marketing environment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management practices, tools and technologies
  • Proven ability to prioritize, develop, track, monitor, report and oversee multiple plans and performance measures
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and remove impediments that jeopardize success of the deliverables
  • Build relationships and influence others for the achievement of project success
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication ability
  • Strong interpersonal and client-service skills
  • Work independently and in a team setting in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to multi-task, work well under pressure, follow up and adapt to changing priorities
  • Exercise sound judgment and initiative in execution and problem-solving
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite

Ideal Qualifications:
  • 1.5 years project management, planning, or scheduling experience , including:
    • Experience with project management system (Workfront preferred)
    • Experience with Microsoft Visio or other process mapping tools
  • Familiarity or experience in a creative or marketing environment
