The Department of Otolaryngology has an exciting opportunity for a full time Clinical Program Coordinator to work in our Medical campus. This position is highly responsible and analytical professional work providing administrative and operational support to the Hearing Aid program. An employee in this position is responsible for scheduling appointments, resolving patient's complaints and physicians concerns, preparing reports, hearing aid inventory, processing information request and preparing clinical documentations. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and discretion in carrying out daily activities adhering to policies and procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (For Non-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):


  • Facilitates the scheduling of hearing aid, bone anchored implant, general diagnostic appointments.

  • Confirm patient appointments and reschedules appointments accordingly

  • Actively monitors provider schedules for opportunities to schedule appointments

  • Facilitates maintenance and calibrations for hearing aid equipment through university of Miami contracted vendors.

  • Prepares patient invoices for payments, repairs, trials, warranties etc.

  • Responsible for obtaining Authorization and referrals for patient appointments when necessary.

  • Maintains required, records, and reports for administrative, quality assurance, safety and control purposes.

  • Creates P.O's and orders all necessary items needed for the operational functionality of the clinic.

  • Performs other related duties as necessary


MINIMUM QUALIFICATONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of three years of healthcare experience is required
