The Zalk Josephs team is offering a challenging and exciting career opportunity as a Part-Time Driver. We are seeking qualified candidates that are focused on quality and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Operates vehicle in accordance with Zalk Josephs Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) and DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements as well as all local, state and federal laws.
- Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle and documents checks utilizing the standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report).
- Deliver structural steel and miscellaneous items to different job sites.
- Maintain good communication with staff regarding schedule and condition of vehicle.
- Remain flexible for unscheduled loads throughout the week (8-40 hours per week).
- Fuel vehicle as needed and provide gas receipts to the Manager or appropriate staff for processing.
- Present self in a professional, courteous, and businesslike manner to customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
