Job Description:


POSITION: Part-Time Softball Head Coach: Staff Assistant; Athletics Department; Non-Unit Professional Position; 18 hours per week; Haverhill campus.


RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will report to the Director of Athletics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • All aspects of coaching in a NJCAA Division III Softball Program which competes as an associate member of the Yankee Small College Conference
  • Planning
  • Scheduling
  • Development of a competitive athletic program
  • Recruiting
  • Advising team members
  • Attending periodic meetings


Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Associate's Degree or two years of college credit.
  • A background in the sport of softball as coach and/or athlete.
  • An appreciation for Junior College athletics and demonstrate a sincere commitment to principles of academic/athletic integrity.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual or Bi-cultural (English/Spanish).
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse, urban population in a Hispanic-Serving Institution.
