We house approximately 13,000 predominately first year students in 14 traditional residence halls and 4 unfurnished apartment communities. Job Summary

  • Works the center desk and assists with conference activities that occur in center and serving on call responsibilities at nights and weekends.
  • Assists with May closing responsibilities (checking rooms, making lists, bag, and tag).
  • Assists with opening responsibilities to help get ready for fall during down times.
  • Leads tours for our incoming residents during orientation.
  • Serves in an on-call capacity after 5:00pm during the week, and 24 hours on the weekend.
  • Serves as the initial contact for any issues outside after regular business hours.
  • Provides excellent customer service to our guests.

  • Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Bloomington

Working Conditions / Demands

The person in this role must be able to navigate assigned buildings for tours and crisis response. The person in this role must be able to move items up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift.
The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Additional Information

It is a condition of employment for applicant of this position CA to live on-site in housing provided by Indiana University.

Start date for this role: May 5th, 2024, through August 4th, 2024

Work Location

Bloomington, Indiana

Work Hours

Flexible work schedule that is typically set for the summertime.
Average of 20 hours per week.
Monday-Sunday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
Weekend working hours occasionally required

This role will include response to calls and crises after business hours.
