Role Overview

As a Payments Analyst, you will join a team of accomplished analysts, consultants, and researchers who identify, monitor and analyze trends in payments and fintech. You will produce research develop insights and provide advice to leading banks, payment service providers, fintech providers, government agencies and other financial service and payments entities.

Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to:
  • Advise clients and prospects based on payments industry knowledge and expertise
  • Work with an experienced Payments team to identify topics of interest, design surveys, and participate in the development of reports and presentation to clients
  • Analyze and evaluate survey data, trends, and consumer usage patterns to provide actionable insights and recommendations
  • Outline and draft research reports based on quantitative and qualitative data analysis, using a variety of formats (MS Word reports, MS PowerPoint presentations, webinars, blogs)
  • Respond to specific client queries by mining primary or secondary research data
  • Conduct phone interviews with payments technology and financial service executives
  • Gather secondary research about payments technologies, vendors and startups in the financial services space

Basic Qualifications
  • 3-5 years experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, with a strong ability to communicate orally and in written business formats, coupled with a comfort with numbers
  • Payments subject matter expert with a focus on consumer payments and payments technology
  • Strong writing skills; experience writing research reports
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail and an insistence on research integrity
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years in a payments related industry analyst, advisory, research, product or management consulting role
  • Quantitative or qualitative research skills, including experience working with large data sets
  • SPSS experience
