Beacon Hill Financial has teamed up with a large global packaging and processing supply chain organization looking to hire a Payroll Accountant! The Payroll Accountant would work alongside the Senior Director while focusing on managing payroll and supporitng accounting functions for the organization. Job Description:

• Perform semi-monthly payroll process for 100+ employees and ensure the accuracy of all payroll-related activities and documentation
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of 401k contributions
• Manage the payroll database and ensure accurate information is reflected in the payroll system
• Assist HR by entering employee payroll info, including benefit deductions, and paying vendor invoices for insurances, flex spending, retirement plans, etc. Ensure vendor invoices align with employee payroll records
• Research discrepancies of payroll information and respond to payroll inquiries in a timely manner
• Prepare year-end reporting including bonuses, profit sharing, GTL premiums, as well as develop ad hoc financial reporting as needed
• Responsible for filing Form 720 as well as other payroll filings as needed
• Assist in the preparation of annual audit schedules related to salaries and benefits
• Assist in preparation of Form 990
• Perform import of semi-monthly payroll GL files from the third-party payroll vendor into Microsoft Dynamic SL
• Assist in budget updating as well as researching of budget to actual variance analysis of salaries and benefits
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Provide backup support to accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assist in other payroll and accounting related projects as needed
