Description and Requirements

Position Summary:

As a Payroll Manager, you will be in charge of overseeing the complete payroll operation in the United States while making sure that we comply with labor laws and regulations as well as taking care of all disbursements are applied to all appropriate parties and keeping internal control procedures and technology to manage the payroll areas within the organization.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the payroll operation by managing a team of analysts working on high volume, bi-weekly and multi-state payroll.
  • Support team members by answering payroll-related questions and issues, and working on escalations.
  • Ensure payroll best practices and procedures are adhered to and documented.
  • Ensure the correct application of internal policies and secure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure timely and legislative compliance for payroll payments and processes.
  • Partner with auditors and manage payroll tax audits.
  • Partner with Stakeholders while overseeing the payroll and system and timekeeping upgrades/configurations.
  • Partner with payroll vendor on tax jurisdiction setups/changes, banking changes, configuration changes, etc.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance teams.

Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:
  • 8 years of Payroll experience
  • +5 years of experience leading Payroll teams.
  • Associate's or Bachelors's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field.
  • FPC or CPP certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Workday software is a plus.
  • Experience working in the BPO industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and multi-location payroll and taxes.
  • Strong understanding of payroll procedures, laws and regulations.
  • Organizational and leadership skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • High level of confidentiality
  • Understanding of wage attachments such as garnishments, child support, levies, etc.
  • FPC or CPP certifications are a plus.
