RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Payroll Specialist.Specific Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Specialist will be rracking all Certified Payroll and/or Prevailing Wage jobs within the timekeeping system
  • Manages and updates the spreadsheet for all Certified Payroll job numbers
  • Tracks and submits payments to the CAC for the California Prevailing Wage jobs
  • Assist PWCA (third party legal team) with all training
  • Submits all monthly OCIP reporting
  • Payroll Specialist reviews contracts for various instructions and requirements for each CP/PW job
  • Investigating and resolving any payroll discrepancies involving
  • Ensuring that all required forms for all CP/PW jobs are filled out correctly and submitted timely
  • Payroll Specialist calculates hours worked and total wages paid, and submits reports to insurance service sites
  • Prepare weekly payroll reports for overseas and offshore jobs
  • Runs weekly reports for all employees working in the state of California
  • Completes and sends monthly BLS reports
  • Payroll Specialist submits electronic certified payroll reports on California Public Works (DIR) website for all California jobs; Submit payment to the California Training Fund (CAC2) Submits monthly reports on OCIPs, DCIPs, ROCIPs, etc. for projects in multiple states including TX, CO, WA, and CA


REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Prevailing wage contract compliance
  • Certified payroll report management
  • Multi-state training & development
  • LCP Tracker
  • Filing WH347
  • Calculating fringes & labor burden rates
  • Knowledge of ADP WFN our Payroll Software is beneficial
  • Ability to perform all tasks with paying attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of the payroll process
  • Pay attention to timelines
  • Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent math skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle calls with high-level executives
  • Strong in Excel
