ABOUT THE JOB
Crossroads offers a space of hope and empowerment by providing mental health support in a safe, inclusive environment. Services are provided along a continuum of settings including a young adult outpatient clinic for individuals 14-26, an OnTrackNY program for individuals 16-30 experiencing first episode psychosis, 8 school-based satellite programs for young people from K-12th grade, and a satellite at The Jewish Community Center. Treatment includes assessment as well as short and long-term psychotherapy using multiple and flexible treatment modalities including individual, family and group treatment as well as evidence-based psychotherapies. Psychiatric consultation and medication management is also offered to current clients.
To facilitate groups for participants with co-occurring disorders to support their decrease in substance use and decrease/cessation of cigarette smoking per their self-report; increase their access to community resources; support participants to develop a WRAP plan to maintain their mental health. Serve as a role model and advocate in the areas of entitlements, self-advocacy and empowerment, daily activities, housing and employment.
