Meta's People@ (HR) organization seeks an experienced individual to join the People Planning and Strategy team to lead change enablement and delivery on complex initiatives and priorities that impact employees and leaders at the company.The People@ change excellence team is responsible for designing and delivering change management activities for priority initiatives and high profile go-to-market launches across various HR teams and solutions. Initiatives may include business transformation projects, process improvements, new system implementation, talent management, culture and values definition as well as other initiatives that impact people's experience at Meta. The change management team executes a methodology focused on a set of core deliverables: stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, resistance management and go-to-market and communication planning and delivery. The core focuses areas for this position include team leadership and career support, initiative staffing, scoping and work activation, delivery guidance and oversight, and integration with portfolio and resource management practices for People@. The People Change Excellence Manager will also be responsible for the strategic direction, build and delivery of Change Excellence as a capability, including methodology, tools, cross-functional partnerships and training. The ideal candidate for this role will possess demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills and must be able to manage multiple complex parallel projects simultaneously. This role is extremely cross-functional and demands an ability to connect the dots across various levels of stakeholders and partners. A passion for building and developing teams is a must as well as demonstrated success in a rapidly growing and scaling organization is also beneficial.

People Change Excellence Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of change projects including intake, scoping, resourcing and delivery
  • Manage a team engaged in the development and implementation of complex change projects through planning, assigning work and continuous feedback. Provide guidance and review to maintain quality, accuracy and productivity
  • Influence leaders and cross functional partners on program strategy and delivery by ensuring that all change related issues and risks are properly considered
  • Conduct assessments to measure impact of change on people, programs, processes and technology
  • Lead the creation of actionable deliverables: e.g., communications plans, sponsor roadmaps, coaching plans, training plans, and resistance management plans
  • Assess, develop and make recommendations to project teams in relation to change readiness
  • Partner with People Strategic Initiatives team to build and execute a comprehensive project and change plan
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute change management strategies
  • Establish and operate an ongoing stakeholder engagement strategy to keep relevant leaders up to date
  • Ensure a broader viewpoint is held throughout People@ and providing connection to parallel projects
  • Conduct change risk assessments and influence key stakeholders
  • Champion a change framework and drives continuous improvement activities to enhance internal change capabilities
  • Support the People@ Go-To-Market process to enable centralized leadership visibility and program team accountability


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading change management as a human resource consultant, enterprise transformation role, internal change management leader, or a related role
  • 4+ years of experience leading teams and working with contingent workers
  • Experience navigating a high degree of ambiguity in high velocity organizations. Background in working at a fast pace and across many types and altitudes of work
  • Effective team and organizational leader with a demonstrated history of building project-based teams and supporting career development and positive experiences
  • Demonstrated experience influencing leadership and act as a thought partner and trusted advisor
  • Experience building and leading a central change management function
  • Experience working with all levels of employees from entry-level to senior leadership
  • Entrepreneurial multi-tasker who can balance thinking strategically and acting operationally, even when facing ambiguity and complexity
  • Experience managing large scale enterprise-level change initiatives, including creating an awareness campaign, delivering training, proactively managing resistance and developing an action plan for leaders/managers
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
  • Proven experience delivering effective customer service to project stakeholders
  • Effective communication skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field
  • Consulting experience preferred
  • 1+ years of experience being a manager of people managers
  • Experience support change and communications in HR
  • Experience in the technology industry and/or high-growth companies
  • Familiarity with agile delivery and transformation methodologies
  • Experience with common workplace and project management tools (Agile platforms) like Asana, MS office and is eager to explore new technologies
  • Experience with the Prosci ADKAR® Model or a similar framework
  • Experience in change analytics using excel, tableau or another reporting tool
