Working under the guidance of the Senior Manager, Performance Marketing, the Performance Marketing Strategist is responsible for data analysis and insight derivation that drives MGB marketing strategies and initiatives. She/he/they is a strong team player who forms collaborative relationships with marketing areas across the MGB system and with individual hospital teams to achieve business objectives. The Performance Marketing Strategist's scope of work includes cross-team collaboration and support; strategy-driving data investigation and analysis; development of campaign measurement strategies; and development of reports showing the impact of marketing activities.

The Performance Marketing Strategist serves as a data/analytics partner to their peers in marketing and communications; ensures others have a solid understanding of the performance of marketing activities; derives insights from data and informs marketing activities from start to finish; is passionate about using data to tell an insight-driven story and can distill and communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.

Responsibilities:

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Serve as a PMDS strategy person of contact for MGB marketing groups- attending priority area input/planning meetings to advise on data/measurement needs and pulling in other PMDS experts as needed
  • Serve as an expert in the various data sources available across the system, including which data sets would be most helpful in informing strategy for a specific campaign or initiative

System, Hospital and Service Line Data Analysis
  • Perform in-depth data investigation in alignment with system/service line/hospital campaign planning and initiatives
  • Obtain data related to consumers, patients, physicians, service lines, hospitals, competitors and the health care market; manipulate and analyze data to derive insights, and distill findings into a clear, concise format.
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate healthcare market conditions, market share, geographies and forecasts to identify growth opportunities and inform marketing approach


Campaign Measurement Strategy and Analysis
  • Collaborate with Performance Marketing Operations colleagues to create custom measurement strategies that demonstrate campaign impact and effectiveness based on hospital or service line technology capabilities, including data modeling and projections where necessary.
  • Assist in extracting marketing strategy implications from campaign/margin reporting - channels, trends, growth, opportunity, etc. - to maximize effectiveness of marketing investment
  • Assist in advancing MROI methodologies and predictive modeling strategy and insights
Marketing Technology Integration/Development
  • Consult and participate in the building, and evolution, of a marketing technology infrastructure that enables Marketing to leverage data and analytics to report on both upstream and downstream metrics (appointments, discharges, MROI).

Qualifications
Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years' experience in marketing, market analysis, or resource/business planning, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • B.A. or B.S. required.
  • Expert knowledge of data tools, databases and systems; willingness to learn new systems
  • Expert knowledge of marketing strategies, channels and technologies

Skills/Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of marketing strategies, channels, measurement methodologies and processes.
  • Exceptional analytical skills - ability to generate actionable insight from raw data.
  • Understands enterprise strategy and goals and drives data analyses to meet objectives
  • Outcomes-driven with the ability to ensure consistent execution
  • Outstanding presentation skills; ability to distill complex subjects into simplified concepts for audiences of all levels.
  • Demonstrates strong judgment and clear decision making.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects simultaneously within set timeframes.
  • Ability to bring together teams of diverse personalities, backgrounds, skills and levels within and external to the organization to drive toward common goals.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal

  • Possible local travel to Mass General Brigham sites
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear; use hands to finger; handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop; kneel; or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
