Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Rotating Shift

Exempt; Pay Grade: XR

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, is responsible for the efficient and accurate provision of drug supplies and drug information according to established standards of practice. Duties are performed in one or more of the department's divisions.Successful completion from an accredited pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. degree. Eligible for, or possesses a current, valid Maryland pharmacy license in good standing to practice pharmacy. Meets state pharmacy licensure requirements.

Education:

Successful completion from an ACPE accredited pharmacy school with a Pharm.D. degree

Work Experience:

6 months of pharmacy-related work experience is desired

Licensure/Certification:

Eligible for, or possesses a current, valid Maryland pharmacy license in good standing to practice pharmacy. Meets state pharmacy licensure requirements.

Intravenous (IV) Certification (includes aseptic technique and hazardous substance handling) within 90 days of hire.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Possesses a comprehensive knowledge of: 1) general hospital and pharmacy procedures 2) Pharmaceutical procedures as they relate to storage, preparation, and dispensing of medication. 3) Patient care as it relates to drug therapy.
  • High level of analytical ability needed to interpret patient data relevant to drug therapy. Interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with patients and health care practitioners.
