Salary/Position Classification

  • $40,000 Annual, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
  • 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday 8am to 5:30pm, no weekends, no holidays
  • 100% Remote Work Availability: No
  • Hybrid Work Availability: No
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prescription Filling Tasks involved in fulfilling above duty/responsibility (include description of physical demands for individual task)
  • Take phone-in prescriptions from Doctors/Nurses and provide them with information when needed.
  • Call insurance companies to solve billing problems.
  • File prescriptions for record compliance in a thorough, easily retrievable fashion.
  • Provide needed re-credentialing materials to Third Party Insurance Companies for contract renewal / State and Federal Agencies for license renewal.
  • Maintain both State and National license for Technician Certification.
  • Ring insurance checks into register then posting and reconciling all insurance payments.
  • Submit the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program report to the State of North Dakota as required by law (usually at least 3 times per week).
  • Run monthly statements and watch past due balances. Age accounts and run Trial Balance.
  • Run any month end reports that are required/requested.
  • Order needed items; including but not limited to prescription items, OTC items, Schedule II products, supplies, etc., and be able to justify each order decision.
  • Monitor inventory for expired items and facilitate sending them back for some reimbursement if allowed. This is usually done quarterly.
  • Ring patient out and have sign appropriate electronic logs for law compliance.
  • Complete the daily deposit when needed and daily spreadsheets.
Required Competencies

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain clear lines of communication.
  • Knowledge of clinical processes.
Minimum Requirements
  • Pharmacy Technician degree or State of North Dakota Certificate for a Technician-In-Training
  • Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check

Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of retail experience with knowledge of Computer RX
