Are you our next Phos Acid Trainee?

The Phos Acid Trainee position will perform any combination of following tasks in chemical manufacturing establishment: Fill or empty equipment and containers by pumping, opening valves, scooping, dumping, scraping, or shoveling liquid, gaseous, or solid materials. Weigh materials and writes or stencils identifying information on containers. Fasten caps or covers on container, or screws bungs in place. Transport materials, using hand truck. Clean stills and other equipment, using detergents, brushes, or scrapers. Load railroad cars or trucks. Deliver samples to laboratory. Clean work areas. Prepare materials by pulverizing, milling, crushing, or liquefying. Paint containers, using spray gun.

What will you do?

  • Set-up equipment for operation, lock out equipment for maintenance, completing required safety permits and open up equipment as needed for inspections and maintenance within in the phosphoric acid department.
  • Perform various operational tasks to ensure reliable operation of the phosphoric acid department. This includes things like grabbing samples, washing lines, operating equipment, performing safety checks, and completing daily cleanup tasks which may involve the use of forklifts, telehandlers, high reaches and bobcats.
  • Loading FSA and PFS trucks and railcars
  • Coordinating work and communicating with plant management

What do you need for this role?
  • HS Diploma or GED preferred
  • 2+ years experience in industrial operations is required
  • Basic computer skills
