Overview

The Physician - Neurologist - Spalding is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Job Details

Facility: Spalding Medical Center

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a board certified/board eligible neurologist to join our Spalding Neurology practice.

This is a primarily Out-Patient Neurology position. Building a Neurology practice to the surrounding community. Fellowships welcomed, but expectation of being open to General Neurology patients.

J1 Visas Considered

Wellstar Spalding Hospital, approximately 1 hour south of downtown Atlanta. Spalding is a 160 bed community hospital that provides comprehensive care to the residents of Spalding, Pike, Lamar,Butts, Upson and Henry counties. Less than an hour to downtown Atlanta and the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or equivalent

Clinical residency in Neurology

Must possess or be able to obtain a valid State of Georgia Medical License

DEA License

Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

Fellowship in subspecialty
