This position will study epigenetic mechanisms of drug resistance of hematological cancers in the bone marrow microenvironment with a focus on chromatin regulators and transcription factors. The lab utilizes genome-wide sequencing assays to characterize changes in chromatin landscapes, to illustrate the underling regulatory mechanisms of drug resistance, and to explore novel therapeutics to reduce the resistance. The qualified candidate should have strong communication skills, be self-motivated, detail oriented, able to work in a collaborative setting, and have strong knowledge and experiences on molecular cell biology and cancer biology. He/she should be proficient in experimental skills including cell line culture, cell purification by magnetic beads or FACS, RT-qPCR, ChIP-qPCR, western blot, apoptosis assays, proliferation assays, shRNA knockdown (stable and inducible), and other common procedures.
