Position Profile

The Practice Manager will be responsible for the daily operations of a multi-provider home-based primary care practice. Providing leadership with internal and external customers, hiring staff and growing referrals. Managing financial results and collaboration with other agency departments.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees practice activities to ensure effective operations, high levels of provider and staff engagement and patient satisfaction along with the efficient use of resources. Monitors overall practice performance, payer relations, and meeting relevant metric targets (i.e. HEDIS measures, documentation of RAF scores). Identifies opportunities to enhance operations & patient experience. Create a focus for standardization of workflow, clinical and back office support.
  • Develops and implements a system to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved and that standard practices of the profession, and related local, state, and federal codes and regulations are upheld.
  • Provides operational leadership, direction and support to office manager and clinic staff. Provides on-going oversight to ensure focus on care delivery standards.
  • Provide on-going, meaningful communication with providers, office manager and back office staff to ensure cohesion, retention of staff, and a collaborative environment which reflects organizational values.
  • Responsible for hiring team members.
  • Working in collaboration with other leaders within the overall agency.
  • Responsible for monthly financial results and annual budgeting.
  • Collaborates well with other departments to support program integration.
  • Responsible for growing the practice through payer relations and community outreach.
  • Maintains and enhances professional skills.
  • Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Medical Group experience required.
  • Must possess a strong knowledge of business and/ or healthcare administration.
  • Must possess a strong experience and knowledge of medical practice and clinic management, clinic operational structures and systems, procedures, and processes as normally demonstrated through a minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in managing a primary care practice.
  • Leadership experience should include management of staff, clinical functions and financial results. Requires excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and planning, organizational and conceptual skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
