MANUFACTURING

Rocket Lab's Manufacturing team are the builders and the doers who work with our advanced machinery across our global manufacturing sites to get our satellites, satellite components, and rockets out the door. They bring the designs of our engineers to life by using advanced manufacturing techniques like 3D printing to create our hardware and are responsible for delivering our projects and missions on time and on budget to our customers.

PRECISION CLEANING TECHNICIAN I

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

• Based out of Rocket Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Precision Cleaning Technician I is responsible for cleaning machined flight hardware components and assemblies.
• All major components of the Rutherford rocket engine are 3D printed including; thrust chamber, injectors, main valves and pump parts. Remaining parts are machined from raw material or procured externally.
• Position requires a high-level of attention to detail.

YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma OR GED
• Experience in a regulated work environment with high attention to detail (such as assembly line, food service, cleaning service, etc.)

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

• 2+ years of experience in precision cleaning in aerospace industry.
• Experienced in precision cleaning, ultrasonic cleaners, degreasers, oxygen cleaning and clean room methodology/practices [Ultrasonic Cleaning Tanks, NVR (non-volatile residue) Particle Part Testing]
• Experience bagging parts and creating labels accordingly.
• Experience working in a cleanroom.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
• Able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to climb ladders and be comfortable working in tight spaces.
• Must be able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls.
• Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods - 8 hours min
• Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Base salary is only one part of Rocket Lab's compensation package for this role. $15-$25 USD
