Principal Engineer If you are a Principal Engineer with experience, please read on!
What You Will Be Doing - Electronic product design both digital and analog circuitry.
- Electronic product/system debug.
- Engineering/Product documentation.
- Customer interaction.
- Direct the work of technicians or junior engineers.
- Work with management to provide input to development schedules and requirements.
- Develop and implement test plans.
- Develop test plans and execution of Environmental testing and issue resolutions.
- Design Electromagnetic constraints.
- Design Power Supply systems.
What You Need for this Position - Bachelors Degree in Electronics and experience developing equivalent capabilities
- 5+ years experience working as an Engineer in the development of electronic controls
- Experience controlling brushed or brushless DC motors preferred
- Strong knowledge in both digital and analog circuitry, and control concepts
- Knowledge and experience designing for safety and Electromagnetic Interference compliance (eg CE/UL)
- Knowledge of power supply systems
- Ability to use CAD tools to generate schematics and layouts
- Demonstrated ability to debug electronics utilizing electronic test equipment
- Ability to work both independently and on a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work professionally with external customers
- Strong ability to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and product documentation
- Ability to use software applications to obtain, understand and modify BOMs (Agile PLM preferred)
- Knowledgeable in control interface protocols such as CANbus, MODBUS, or USB based designs
- Ability to work with mechanical systems is a strong plus
