Drive safe and efficient work practices in an organization that excels through continuous improvement and sustainable process and project implementation. Strong analytical approach to data and value stream modeling is preferred.

A fundamental belief of integrating safety into every aspect of the process; ensuring that ergonomic, environmental and health are evaluated in the work steps. Ensures all safety protocols throughout the plant are adhered too.

Follows the Quality Management System, certified to ISO 9001:2015 for operations and OHSAS 18001:2007 for Safety.

Analyzes, supports and communicates quality, waste and efficiency data to all levels of the organization

Assists or leads the writing and training of technical documents that cover equipment, process control plans or standard operating procedure.

Utilizes solid root cause analysis and the 5-Why process approach to exceed and sustain safety, quality and efficiency improvements in the facility

Documents ISO procedures and coordinates ISO training checklists.

Develops, tests and implements process improvements.

Accountable for problem solving in assigned priority areas utilizing corrective measures to maintain product quality standards.

Drives the installation of new processes and equipment through the Management of Change (MOC) process, ensuring flawless project execution.

Assists both the plant and corporate organization on small level project management.

Create and develop presentations to communicate throughout the organization.

Modeling skills that can assist in an evaluation of the value stream and find opportunities for continuous improvement.

May be asked to take part in the tracking of customer claims and driving teams that are created to eliminate those occurrences.

Performs other duties as required

Bachelor's degree in Ceramic, Mechanical or Industrial engineering preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control.

At least 2 years manufacturing experience with supervisory and quality control experience preferred.

Ceramic industry experience preferred.

Core competencies include good communication and problem-solving skills, mathematical aptitude, data analysis and interpretation, and ability to prioritize. Computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets. Strong/Proven interpersonal skills a must. Effective and persuasive communications skills both written and verbal required.

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The associate may be exposed to the risk of electrical shock or vibration. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures. The noise level is usually loud.
